AS3 JIT Compiler and Code performance
Don’t get me wrong this is a great AS3 demo. It demonstrates the great improvements made in performance between the old VM and the new VM. However, am I the only one disapointed that we’re still constrained to 480px X 240px ? Yes, I know it’s only a software renderer, but still ! Let’s remember WPFE is on the horizon.
Well if downloaded and played in the standalone player it runs fast enough ……. but that is on a Core2 Duo 2.70Ghz. Remember, an Amiga could do that with 14-50Hz! So in that regard, I agree Flash needs more graphics power for full screen (me thinks games)
